Credit where credit’s due

I’d just like to recommend Rail Europe for any train bookings in Europe. While we didn’t actually get to use the tickets we’d booked through them, their customer service was top notch. We’d booked to go to Strasbourg just before christmas, this involving taking a Eurostar from St Pancras to Paris, and then continuing on from Paris to Strasbourg aboard a TGV.

Due to the problems with Eurostar we weren’t able to go. So I fired off an email to Rail Europe, which they replied to very promptly saying they were working through a huge backlog of similar requests, but that they would get back to me. We’d assumed that we’d lost the TGV portion of the fare as it wasn’t really SCNF’s fault that we hadn’t caught it. But much to our suprise we recieved a full refund of all fares on the 28th December. That’s excellent.
