So far so good it seems. Rattled through Section A, and both parts of TMA01 are ready for submission.
Chapter B1 took a good few read throughs to sink in. I think it’s more to do with the population bit rather than the maths bits, the Sigma notation went straight back in, but working out how to model pheasant populations just wouldn’t. Though the question on TMA02 for that section looks quite straightforward.
Think I’m going to try and get this first half of the course pretty much done in the next week to 10 days so I can concentrate on the MS221 books that have just arrived.
Had the first tutorial this week as well. The location was pretty good, nice and central. The room was a bit cramped, but the 8 of us there fitted in fine. Most of this one was taken up with an introduction to the course so there wasn’t that much actual math covered. Our tutor did go through some of the questions from TMA10 that he felt hadn’t been answered to well. Thankfully I think I only spotted 1 mistake (must remember roots have 2 answers), and a slightly quicker way of doing one of the questions. Unfortunately I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep up with all the tutorials for both courses, and I guess it may be ms221 which wins out. Our tutor said he was about to send our TMA10 papers of f to Milton Keynes for administration, so hopefully those should be back with us soon.
